Improvements On The 2022 NordicTrack S22i
NordicTrack released their updated version of the S22i indoor bike. The previous model has been reviewed on TailHappyTV and earned a TailHappyScore of 90 out of 100. That left the bike with some room for improvement, and NordicTrack did just that. The audio has been adjusted to have the speakers facing forwards, as opposed to the original NordicTrack S22i which had the speakers on the back, facing away from the rider. They also upped the wattage in the speakers, placing the new bike at 30 watts, as compared to the highly popular Peloton Bike+ that has 26 watts. Another notable improvement on the 2022 model is the ability to clip-in with SPD shoes.
There are some subtle aesthetic changes you will also see on the newer model, such as adding grey and blue colors to the bike’s lettering that was previously orange. The new 2022 NordicTrack S22i also advertises their enhancements to the DC incline/decline motor. With most of the NordicTrack bikes, the NordicTrack S22i has a weight capacity of 350 pounds and a height range from 5’1” to 6’4”. The incline and decline feature will remain the same, ranging from -10% decline to +20% incline. As with other models, the instructors will be able to change that resistance for you as you ride, which includes 24 different resistance levels. TailHappyTV will soon be giving us another full NordicTrack S22i review soon of the bike’s pros and cons, and reissuing another TailHappyScore for the 2022 model.
